We are seeking a dedicated Data Subject and GDPR Compliance Specialist to join a vibrant charity organisation based in Woking, Surrey, on an initial 4 month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals experienced in managing data protection frameworks, particularly within the voluntary sector, to ensure the organisation’s digital systems and data handling procedures are fully compliant with GDPR regulations. As part of the team, you will act as the Data Protection Officer (DPO), leading efforts to oversee data privacy, manage Subject Access Requests (SARs), and implement robust data governance practices. Your expertise will be essential in supporting the charity's strategic objectives, ensuring secure data management, and fostering a culture of privacy and data security throughout the organisation.
- Proven experience in GDPR compliance, with practical knowledge of managing Subject Access Requests (SARs)
- Background in data protection, privacy laws, or data governance within the charity or voluntary sector
- Experience in implementing and maintaining data management systems
- Strong understanding of GDPR principles and data privacy best practices
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
